Draft: a lawyer must review this before launch

Terms of use

Last updated 25 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Hearth. We have kept them short and plain.

What Hearth is

Hearth offers coaching for couples: small shared steps, check-ins and an AI coach. It is coaching, not therapy. It does not diagnose, treat or give medical, legal or psychological advice, and it cannot replace a professional.
Ember, the coach, is an AI. It can make mistakes and may say things that do not fit your situation. Please use your own judgement, and talk to a professional about anything that worries you, including medical, legal, financial or mental health questions.
Hearth is provided by [company name and address], [register number], [VAT number if any].

Not for emergencies

If you or someone else is in danger, call your local emergency number. Hearth is not monitored in real time and cannot send help.

Who can use it

You must be 18 or older. You sign in with your own email address and keep your sign-in links to yourself.

Using Hearth with a partner

You decide what to share. When you invite a partner, they see only what you share, as described in the privacy policy.
Hearth is for two people who both want to take part. Please do not use it to monitor, pressure or control another person, or to read what they wrote. If you do, we may close your account.

What you write

What you write belongs to you. You give us permission to store it and to process it as the privacy policy describes, only so we can run Hearth for you. Please do not write anything unlawful or abusive.
Hearth’s own text, design and software belong to us or our licensors. You may use them to take part in Hearth, but not to copy or resell them.

The pilot

Hearth is in a pilot. It is free for now, and it may change, pause or contain mistakes. We will tell you before any change that affects what you pay.

Our responsibility

We take care to run Hearth well, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error free. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, for example for intent or gross negligence, or for death or personal injury, and nothing takes away your rights as a consumer. [Any further limitation of liability, to be written by a lawyer.]

Ending your account

You can delete your account and your data any time from the Me tab. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and will say why.
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before it applies, and you can delete your account if you do not agree.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by the law of [country]. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection that the mandatory law of the country where you live gives you. Questions go to hello@thehearth.si.
